City of Perth entitlements to be slashed again

Julian WrightEastern Reporter

CITY of Perth councillor expenses are set to be slashed even further with proposed policy changes now out for public comment.

It has been proposed several reimbursable items including clothing, dry cleaning and personal presentation costs up to $3000 per annum, personal charity donations up to $50 and spectacles be removed from the policy.

The restrictions are likely to have “a positive financial impact” with City records showing in the 2012/13 and 2013/14 financial years, councillors claimed $32,000 on these expenses.
