City of Vincent households could pay $100 more in rates

THE City of Vincent will advertise for 21 days a rate increase that could mean an extra $100 per household in 2016-17 financial year.

Residential properties could be faced with a minimum of $1007, with the City to charge 0.0613 in the dollar, up from last financial year’s $907.

Commercial vacant properties will face a minimum of $1414.

The City raised almost $30m in rate revenue from more than 17,000 rateable properties in the last financial year.

Public submissions received will be presented to council at a future meeting.
