CITY of Vincent’s community bus will go under the hammer on Friday, July 6.
The bus is a point of contention between the City and North Perth Bendigo Bank, which donated the $120,000 10 years ago for the City to purchase and hire out to community groups.
When bookings slowed, in part due to its lack of wheelchair access, bank branch chairman and former Vincent mayor Nick Catania tried unsuccessfully to have it handed to the branch.

READ NOWVincent council decided on May 1 to put the bus up for auction.
The bus was booked out and used by the bank later that month to support 36 cyclists doing the two-day Ride Against Domestic Violence.
Mr Catania indicated a bid could be made by the bank at the auction in order to have the bus returned.
When the decision was made to auction it off, Mr Catania said he was “bitterly disappointed”.
