“SMART” cameras which could hold facial recognition technology will be installed across Perth, with the city council calling for tenders for the installation and monitoring of the CCTV devices.
A notice on the council website calls for tenders, with applicants now only able to view documents and submit tenders from its Tenderlink E-Tendering website.
“Tenders are invited to design, supply, install, and support smart devices as part of the Smart Cities Program,” the council site said on Monday, with tenders closing on August 16 at 2pm.
