AUSTRALIAN cricket fans will be hoping we make short work of England in the third Test at the WACA ground, with Perth expected to be lashed by showers on Sunday and Monday.
The third Test begins today. and with fine conditions expected for the first three days, there’s every chance the Ashes could be back in our keeping by then.
But if not, we may hit some weather trouble on Sunday – with the Bureau of Meteorology predicting a 90 per cent chance of rain and the chance of a thunderstorm.
The Bureau’s early prediction is that 3-10mm could fall on Sunday, with a further 4-15mm on Monday.
That could be good news for any side trying to hang on a draw.
There is also the chance of strong winds on Monday.
