Knitters made blankets, scarves and beanies which will be given to those in need as a part of the organisation’s Winter Appeal.
Over the past 10 years, 4174 blankets have been knitted. Put together end to end, that would reach from Perth to Rockingham or to and from Rottnest twice.
Anglicare WA chief executive Ian Carter said the Winter Appeal helped the organisation deliver relief services to the community.
‘Support of this appeal and events like the Knit-In allow Anglicare WA to support families who are experiencing issues around relationships, housing and finances,’ he said.
