Cyclist charged with culpable driving after CBD accident leaves woman with serious injuries

A MAIDA Vale cyclist has been charged with culpable driving causing grievous bodily harm after an accident in the CBD.

On Friday April 8, the 53-year-old man was allegedly cycling along Hay Street, approaching the William Street intersection, when he collided with a 22-year-old woman, who was crossing Hay Street at the time.

The woman, from Wembley Downs, received serious injuries as a result of the crash.

The man is due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on 19 July 2016.
