Cyclist seriously injured after crash on Mounts Bay Road

A MALE cyclist in his 30s is in a serious condition in hospital after a crash in Perth this morning.

The incident occurred at the roundabout at the east end of Mounts Bay Road, near the Narrows Bridge about 8.50am.

“He wasn’t conscious, but he was breathing,” a St John Ambulance spokeswoman said.

Another cyclist was redirecting traffic, and the injured cyclist’s bike lay beside the road before an ambulance arrived.

The cyclist was taken on a priority one clearance by the ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital.
