PERTH Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi could learn her fate as early as June 14.
This morning the State Administrative Tribunal held a directions hearing for Ms Scaffidi in which the date was set for a penalty hearing.
The penalty hearing will resume on June 21 if more time is required.
Ms Scaffidi’s lawyer Steven Penglis stated he intended to subpoena two former chief executives of the City of Perth, including one who currently resides in Queensland.
Former Perth chief executive Frank Edwards attended Ms Scaffidi’s two-day hearing in April as a witness for the Local Government Department.
Last Tuesday Ms Scaffidi was found guilty of 45 serious breaches of the Local Government Act arising from gifts and third party contributions to her travel expenses that she failed to declare properly.
