Diamond pendant adds sparkle to festivities

Denise S. CahillEastern Reporter

This inspired Rohan Jewellery owner Rohan Milne to design a bespoke diamond pendant called ‘The Firework’ that will be auctioned at the event’s inaugural Leederville Long Table Supper tomorrow night.

The pendant has a pink Argyle diamond surrounded by white diamonds and is worth $2780.

Money raised at the auction will go back into the annual festival.

Mr Milne and wife Toni brought a fireworks display to the festival last year.

“I’m a big kid, I love fireworks,” he said.

“They’re bright and sparkly, just like diamonds.”

Leederville eateries will contribute to the 10-course dinner, with diners sitting at one U-shaped table in the street plaza outside Duende.

Only 100 tickets are available for $132 each. Visit www.leedylongtablesupper.eventbrite.com.au.

The Light Up Leederville Carnival is on Sunday, December 6 from noon to 9pm.

Carnival director Jimmy Murphy said the event was about food and family.

“We have themes of sustainability, with the whole festival powered renewably by Synergy,” Mr Murphy said.
