MT Hawthorn’s newest op-shop has a drive-in donation depot.

Red Cross opened a shop on Scarborough Beach Road this week, offering new and pre-loved clothes, accessories and homewares.

Funds raised from sales will go towards supporting helping people in times of emergency, personal hardship and disadvantage.

Head of retail Richard Wood said fashionistas and budget-conscious shoppers would find something to their taste.

“The store also has a convenient drive-through so locals can drop off their high quality donations, such as clothing, accessories, homewares and small furniture items,” he said.

“Unfortunately we cannot accept electrical items or goods that are stained or torn.”

It is the second Red Cross shop to open in Perth’s inner-north.

The Mt Hawthorn store also provides volunteer opportunities for those looking to pitch in.

Volunteers can assist in everything from customer service and sales through to visual merchandising and sorting donations.

To sign up, call into the store or register your interest online at www.redcross.org.au/shopvolunteer.
