WEST Coast coach Adam Simpson is likely to err on the side of caution by giving veteran forward Josh Kennedy one more week to recover from a leg injury.
Kennedy hasn’t played since suffering a hairline fracture in his shin at training three weeks ago and his hopes of returning against Melbourne on Sunday are slim.
“I don’t think Josh will come up,” Simpson told the Seven Network.
“We’ll see how we go at training (on Tuesday). He’s touch-and-go. We’ll probably err on the side of giving him another week.”
Ruckman Nathan Vardy (knee) and goalsneak Liam Ryan (corked leg) are also under injury clouds.
