East Perth: Bedford woman has lower lip, part of right ear bitten off in alleged attack by partner

A BEDFORD woman (27) has lost her lower lip and part of her right ear in an alleged attack by a man on Wellington Street, East Perth about 9.45pm on March 20.

“We will allege he’s bitten her,” Senior Sergeant Craig Davis said.

The woman also suffered slashes on her upper left arm and right wrist, before she was taken by St John Ambulance in a serious condition to Royal Perth Hospital.

She was still in care today.

Sgt Davis said the woman and the man were partners who had been in nearby Wellington Square before the attack.

A Newman man (31) was arrested by police and charged with grievous bodily harm yesterday.

He is remanded in custody to reappear at Perth Magistrates Court on April 5.
