Staff WriterEastern Reporter

POLICE have charged a 61-year-old East Perth woman with stealing more than $3.5 million from the Northbridge business where she was employed for eight years.

Police described the investigation as “complex and extensive”.

Between 2009 and 2017 the woman worked at a business in Northbridge as a bookkeeper and was responsible for banking.

Police said an in-depth analysis of business records resulted in the woman being charged with stealing just over $3.5 million from the business since 2011.
