RIDES on the Elizabeth Quay Carousel will cost just a gold coin donation this Saturday to raise money for charity Zero2Hero.

The carousel, opened by Rohan and Toni Milne in December 2016, has been closed for a month but will reopen this weekend with new seating and fresh landscaping.

“After almost 18 months in operation, the Elizabeth Quay Carousel has been warmly embraced by the people of Perth,” Mr Milne said.

“It is time for us to say thank you and raise money for our friends at Zero2Hero who are standing up for young minds with their incredible work around education and awareness of mental illness at a grass roots level.”

Zero2Hero chief executive Ashlee Harrison said partnering with the Elizabeth Quay Carousel team would help to engage heroes of all ages in conversations about mental health.
