PERTH shoppers will be given more time to buy this weekend, after the State Government approved additional retail trading hours for Labour Day.

Shops in the Perth metropolitan area will be able to trade from 8am until 6pm on Labour Day (Monday, March 5) as well as Easter Monday (April 2).

Trading during these additional hours is up to the discretion of individual traders.

The Retail Trading Hours (Public Holidays Order) 2012 allows shops in the Perth metro area to open from 11am to 5pm on public holidays – with the exception of Christmas Day, Good Friday and Anzac Day.
