Fishy attack

Jon BassettEastern Reporter

A SAWN-OFF swordfish bill is the alleged weapon used by a woman to attack a Floreat woman (49) in Brighton Street, West Leederville about 8.30am last Monday.

Senior Sergeant Kate Vivian said the victim was preparing her property for a home open when her attacker approached from the street "carrying a toothed bill from a swordfish."

No reason was given when the bill was swung at the woman's face, but was stopped short of making contact and causing a wound.
