Floats for St Pat’s Day

Parade chief executive Karen Hennessy said the free family event, run by Irish Families in Perth, would host 30 floats, three marching bands as well as 25 stalls on Leederville Oval.

‘The one thing we want to do with this event is to try and open it up because everybody loves to be Irish on St Patrick’s Day,’ she said.

‘So what can you do other then go to the pub? Have an outdoor event.’

Ms Hennessy said the committee had opted to establish the event in Leederville following a four-year hiatus.
