Fourth break-in at business

Emily BakerEastern Reporter

At 3am last Friday, a vehicle described as looking like a Toyota RAV4 pulled up at Jerico Clothing, 160 Scarborough Beach Road, before the car, carrying three people, was reversed through the front of the shop.

This is the fourth time in just over a year that Ms Hunt's Mt Hawthorn business has been broken into, costing her thousands of dollars to boost security and repair damage.

"I want these people brought to justice for the right reason so they have a future and purpose, maybe in menswear or retail one day," she said.

Ms Hunt said Torso, at 148 Scarborough Beach Road, had been the only other store broken into in the surrounding area since she had been there.

She said she suspected the thieves were after her designer menswear.

Senior Sergeant Kate Vivian said police were gathering intelligence as to why the shop continued to be a target.

Sgt Vivian said the offenders were caught on CCTV.

One offender was described as wearing a black hoodie, black pants, white shoes and a mask. The second was wearing a light-coloured hat, pants and shoes, a black face covering and a jumper, light pants and light shoes, while the third wore a light hoodie, black scarf on their face, pants and light-coloured shoes.
