NEW Year’s Eve revellers will have access to free, frequent and safe trips home with complimentary travel on public transport after midnight.
Transperth has scheduled 113 extra train services, 125 extra bus trips and a number of extra ferry services to run after midnight.
Extra buses and railcars will be on standby in case any services experience significant demand.
Free travel will remain in place until 6am on Wednesday, January 1.
Transport Minister Rita Saffioti said: “Travel on all Transperth services will be free from midnight until 6am on January 1, so there’s no better time to let our team do the driving.
“I’d urge anyone considering going out on New Year’s Eve to get on the Transperth app, check out the website and make sure they plan how they’re going to get home before they party.
“There’s nothing worse than getting stuck after a fun night out, so plan ahead and take advantage of the hundreds of extra services planned to get you home safely.”
