Fringe World Festival’s Rooftop Movies returns to Northbridge for summer

Lisa ThomasEastern Reporter

FRINGE World Festival’s Rooftop Movies will kick off again next month welcoming back starry nights and summer sunsets after a long winter.

The Northbridge outdoor cinema, which is in its sixth year, will open with a line-up of blockbusters, new releases plus some throw-back favourites.

Chief executive Marcus Canning said a visit to the outdoor movies was a perfect way to shake off the winter blues.

“A Perth summer is not complete without a visit to the Rooftop Movies and we’re excited to welcome everyone back,” he said.

“It’s the perfect place to relax with your mates, leave your worries on the ground floor and step out onto the rooftop, catch the sunset and escape into a film for a few hours.”

Rooftop Movies will run from December 1 until March 31 2018.
