Jessica Wheadon said she had to wait on the bus until the bus driver told them to get off.

“Until the fire truck came in we didn’t know that it was a fire,” Jessica said.

“We ran across the road and the black smoke – double the height of the building – was everywhere.

“It looked like the entire building was on fire with all the smoke billowing out.”

Transperth WA announced that an OC-500 fuelled bus had caught fire causing the busport to be shut down for more than an hour and asked passengers to catch their buses from the nearest bus stop to the station.
