Given wings: Mt Lawley student’s art published in Ben Tries to Fly

ST Paul’s Primary School student Emily Cirillo’s artwork has been published in social worker Eddie Drury’s book titled Ben Tries to Fly.

Emily, in Year 6, is one of 21 winners of Therapy Focus’ state wide 2017 art competition, which saw more than 4300 entries submitted from 58 schools.

The book features a rhyming narrative and characters with disabilities and encourages young celebrate the talents and abilities of individuals and it the 10th title in the organisation’s storybook series.

Drury has worked as a journalist, children’s entertainer, and is currently a Behaviour Support Clinician at Therapy Focus.
