The striker and proud Irishman will lead more than 40 floats and groups as they weave their way through Leederville on Sunday, March 15.
Now in its third year, the parade and family fun day will involve up to 20,000 people descending on the Leederville town centre to celebrate all things green and Irish.
Irish Families in Perth (IFIP) founded the St Patrick’s Day WA committee in 2012 to take responsibility for revitalising the celebrations in Perth and creating a family friendly, multicultural event.
City of Vincent Mayor John Carey said he was delighted that the festival would return to the streets of Leederville for its third year.
‘The City of Vincent is extremely proud to again be host and chief sponsor of the annual WA St Patrick’s Day Parade and Family Fun Day,’ he said.
‘It’s just fantastic to host this lively event in our vibrant urban village of Leederville and we’re sure this year is going to even bigger and better than last year.’
St Patrick’s Festival WA president Karen Hennessy said organisers were expecting huge crowds on the day.
‘The committee have been hard at work in recent months ensuring that the event will be much improved over the 2014 version,’ she said.
‘We anticipate a bumper crowd, so get down early to get the best view of the parade and then we look forward to showing off the new and improved fun day on the oval from 11am.’
