GUARDIAN Express photographer Andrew Ritchie is vying for three awards as part of the PANPA Newspaper of the Year Awards’ photography categories.

The gala award ceremony on September 2 at The Ivy Sydney, recognises the best of the best in the print industry.

Ritchie, a long-serving Community Newspaper Group photographer, snared four nominations including two in the portrait category for his works titled Grandpa de deux and Dancer, one in the features and lifestyle category for his work titled Native American and one in the sport category for his Hopman Cup work.

He is joined by southern suburbs colleague Jon Hewson, who is in the mix with his works Smoking Actor (portrait) and Dad, would you like a chip? (features and lifestyle), while Luxury Lifestyle editor Arylene Westlake-Jennings is nominated for a Hegarty Scholarship.
