The Perth resident and chief medical imaging technologist was recently awarded for her work in improving access to imaging.

She was formally recognised for her efforts at Royal Perth Hospital’s Outstanding Service Awards on November 20.

Ms Parry, who leads 100 staff, helped to decrease waiting times for imaging by 97 per cent through a CT redesign project in 2013.

“I have made the most out of service for a minimum cost,” she said.

“I’ve had many meetings with doctors who say that it is hard to get imaging and we really worked on a four-hour turnaround and getting patients through the hospital much quicker.

“We get a lot of really challenging patient presentations here, but it’s a fantastic place to work,” Ms Parry said.

“I love this place.”
