Hoping for piazza the action

Sophie GabrielleEastern Reporter

The City of Vincent is upgrading the junction to make a shared space with more trees, public seating and car parking.

The works, which are expected to cost about $310,000, will occur over the next few months and include the reconfiguration of the intersection, a brick paved area, more parking and some seating.

Mr Crocker said the cost and effort behind giving Leederville an urban village feel was worthwhile.

"Naturally we would hope that by drawing more people into this part of Leederville we would gain the opportunity to introduce them to the restaurant," he said.
