Inglewood on Beaufort markets to get new wall mural

THE next Inglewood on Beaufort markets will gave a colourful backdrop with a new wall mural.

Members of the Inglewood on Beaufort Community Group held a paint by numbers on the last weekend of June to add some colour to the outside of a shop wall on Beaufort Street.

Group spokeswoman Tamara Radi said the wall needed a makeover.

“This is one of our most popular spots for the markets and is a highly visible area from the street, and one that needed beautifying,” she said.

“This was a way of engaging with our community, and letting them take some ownership to the mural.”

She said more murals were planned for the future.

“There is at least two more planned for the area, one based on the areas lovely Stained Glass Windows and another based on our history.

“Watch this space.”

The markets will open again later this year.
