Remains found at Mt Hawthorn home confirmed to be murdered mother Ah Bee Mack

UPDATE 2.20pm: Forensic police officers have confirmed the remains found in a Mt Hawthorn home yesterday were those of Ah Bee Mack, 10 years after she was last seen alive.

The skeletal remains of Ms Mack, who was murdered by her son, were found yesterday afternoon by police at her former home on Fairfield Street.

The 56-year-old was last seen alive in September 2008 at the family home but wasn’t reported missing until five years later.

She was reported missing in 2013 by her autistic son Brett Donald Mark who was later jailed for murdering his mother.

Ms Mack’s body had never been found.

But yesterday afternoon remains were found at her former home by contractors who were installing a swimming pool at the property.

Brett Mack told police he buried his mother’s body at Lake Gwelup after she took her own life.
