Japanese clothing giant Uniqlo opening Perth

JAPANESE clothing giant Uniqlo opens their first Perth store on Murray Street on Thursday morning.

The 1290 sq m store will be based in the Perth CBD and the company says more than 130 local jobs will be created in the process.

Uniqlo Australia chief operating officer Kenji Tsuji said the new store would provide shoppers with more variety.

“We’re thrilled to be making our products more accessible for shoppers across Australia, with our first store in Perth allowing us to share our LifeWear philosophy even further,” he said.

The store caters for men, women and children and provides clothing “based on the Japanese values of simplicty, quality and longevity”.

Japanese drummers will be on hand and giveaways will be dished out to customers at the grand opening.
