Leederville man charged with stealing flowers from Kings Park

A MAN has been charged with stealing flowers from Kings Park in the early hours of the morning.

About 2.45am on December 28, Perth police officers on patrol spoke with a man stopped on the side of Havelock Street in West Perth.

The man had a bike and three large bags of native flowers.

Police will allege the man stole the flowers from Kings Park.

The 55-year-old man from Leederville has been charged with damage, destroy or take flora or fungi living or dead on designated land.

He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on January 30.
