The areas along Beaufort Street and in Leederville, Mt Hawthorn and North Perth town centres will allow performers to show off their crafts without the need for a permit.
Discs labelled ‘play here’ will be installed within the Street Entertainer Zones to highlight where buskers can perform. Street performers will need to register with the City free of charge.
Mayor John Carey said the policy change would enable more opportunities to enliven town centres.
