FOUR new boutique style screening rooms at Luna Leederville have opened.

The first sessions screening the latest releases, such as The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, screened on Anzac Day.

The Guardian Express was the first to report in June last year when the City of Vincent approved the application for the additional rooms with a total of 164 seats.

The indoor screen count is now eight, with an outdoor screen used during the summer months at the rear of the site.

The sleek and modern design includes a caf style indoor and outdoor seating area, wooden floor boards and a large street front window that opens up.

Luna Palace spokesman Tony Bective said the extra screens allowed the option for corporate bookings and extending film seasons.

The site used to host a fishing and tackle shop.
