Boy charged with grievous bodily harm after alleged Northbridge attack

POLICE have charged a 17-year-old boy over an alleged attack on a man at the Perth Cultural Centre in Northbridge in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police allege the boy approached a man and struck him to the side of the head, causing him to fall backwards to the ground.

The man lost consciousness and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital where he underwent surgery for a brain injury.

The boy has been charged with grievous bodily harm.
