Man still on the run after escaping custody

A MAN on the run after escaping a Perth hospital where he was held in custody is believed to be in the company of a woman.

Laurie John Junior Dodd, 44, fled the Royal Perth Hospital about 12.40pm on Saturday, police said.

Police have released footage of Mr Dodd alighting from a bus in East Perth, at the intersection of Trafalgar and Nile at about 12.45pm on Saturday.

It is also believed that he may be in company of 44-year-old Cher Blight.

Mr Dodd is described as 187cm tall, with a medium build, fair skin, black hair and a mullet haircut.

He may have bandaged facial and arm injuries, and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and either green or black boxer shorts.

Members of public are advised not to approach Mr Dodd or Ms Blight but if sighted to contact police immediately on 131 444.
