Menora man (19) faces court on child sexual assault offences

A 19 year-old Menora man appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court yesterday charged with child sexual offences as a result of an extensive investigation by Sex Assault Squad detectives.

It is alleged that between July 2015 and May 2016, Matthew Rodney Adams sexually assaulted three girls aged 14 and 15 years of age.

He allegedly befriended the victims and groomed them into engaging in a sexual relationship.

Mr Adams was arrested on Wednesday, June 22, and charged with a string of offences including three counts of Aggravated Sexual Penetration without Consent, two counts of Sexually Penetrating a Child over 13 years and under 16 years of age, and one count of possessing Child Exploitation Material.

WA Police encouraged anyone who has been a victim of child abuse, or who has information about someone being abused, to contact police on 131 444.
