Mo better way to raise funds

Staff ReporterEastern Reporter

Some 15 local artists have been commissioned to design wooden moustaches to feature at Rummage on William Street and at two other stores.

The moustaches will be auctioned off through an online store, with proceeds going to Movember, which raises money for prostate and testicular cancer research.

Owner Emily Gibson said after her father was diagnosed with prostrate cancer, she had wanted to do anything possible to raise awareness and funds for the initiative.

‘Thanks to the incredible research and facilities that are now available, my dad is recovering well,’ she said.

The moustaches are on display at 282 William Street, Ristretto at 22 Howard Street, Perth and Com.Pen.Di.Um. at 49a High Street Fremantle until November 26 and at www.artistsformo.wordpress.com.

They will then be open display at the Myre Project in Fremantle on November 30 when winning bidders can pick up their moustaches.
