Witness appeal after fatal Highgate crash

MAJOR crash investigators are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died following a collision with a car in Highgate.

The motorcyclist was riding along Broome Street, near Beaufort Street, at around 4.15pm on Sunday when the bike collided with a car.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 40-year-old man from Kalgoorlie, was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by St John Ambulance, where he died.

A spokesman for WA Police said: “Major Crash Investigators are seeking information regarding a fatal crash in Highgate on Sunday.

“About 4:15pm an Aprilia motorcycle was being ridden west on Broome Street, near the intersection of Beaufort Street. At the same time a Toyota Camry was exiting a car park onto Broome Street. The two vehicles collided.

“The driver of the Toyota Camry did not receive any injuries.”
