Mt Hawthorn Fathering Project hosts Amazing Race-style event

DADS and their children went on an Amazing Race-style bonding adventure in Mt Hawthorn on Sunday, June 3.

The Mount Hawthorn Fathering Project event aims to improve child development outcomes by inspiring and equipping fathers and father figures to engage positively with their kids.

About 200 fathers and father figures, with their children, made up about 70 teams on the day and navigated their way to six stops using clues left for them.

The organisation holds several events throughout the year – this was the first inspired by the Amazing Race.

Numerous businesses loaned their support and Perth MLA John Carey was there handing out prizes.
