COMMUNITY radio station RTRFM has announced its new general manager.

The Mt Lawley-based broadcaster has appointed Karen Lee to the position.

Ms Lee comes to the station with experience across the private, not-for-profit and public sectors in music touring and events, arts and community projects and business management.

She said she was looking forward to the challenges and opportunities emerging in the music and arts sectors.

“I’m determined to make sure that RTRFM and all the people who give the station its unique identity and quality can capitalise on the many opportunities available,” she said.

“We’re living in such a dynamic and invigorating time for audio content makers, storytellers and music selectors.”

Ms Lee will take over as general manager in the new year to replace Stu MacLeod, who stepped down in November to take up a position with the Fairbridge Festival.
