Mt Lawley Golf Club unveils its 19th hole and inducts new life member

MT Lawley Golf Club officially unveiled its 19th hole this week.

The new part of the course will serve as a practice hole and is the first stage of several projects planned to enhance the course and clubhouse.

Construction began in August this year.

Members gathered at a ceremony on Monday to see the new hole and witness the unveiling of a commemorative plaque.

Marie Westlake was also made the fifth life member of the club after being involved since 1971.

Members were invited to suggest a name for the new hole, with ‘Jacaranda’ announced the winner after receiving the most votes.
