Neil Randall sells Paddington Ale House, Mt Hawthorn

PUBLICAN and Subiaco Football Club premiership player Neil Randall has sold The Paddington Ale House to his landlord.

Mt Hawthorn Hospitality Co directors Robert and Ben Swanson took over the Scarborough Beach Road pub this week.

Neil, who has owned the Paddo for 31 years, told Community News he was still operating Paddington Fine Wines, which had a different landlord, adjacent to the pub.

He said he would also help his son Ben Randall at The Sandbar in Scarborough.

“It’s time for our family to move on, we have different agendas now,” Neil said.

The kitchen is closed temporarily but Robert said food service would resume next week.

In the meantime, customers can bring their own food to the venue.

“We’ll get new chefs in and they’ll do their own thing but it will still be pub food,” he said.

“We’ve been talking to customers over the last few days, they say it’s good the way it is and it’s all about the customers so we won’t change much.”
