NORTH Perth will be hosting an art workshop with a difference in November – the Hands Across The World event – to raise funds to help children in Cambodia.

Hands Across The World is a not-for-profit organisation that works with schools in Cambodia, running programs to deter human trafficking, forced labour, and child exploitation.

Chief executive Cindy Debes said the proceeds of the workshop at Phoenix Academy (opposite Beatty Park) would support “the wonderful work the team of Hands Across the World is doing”.

Artist Gabriela Himstedt will run the workshop that will help aspiring artists improve their technique.

Organisers say the class is “ideal for adults wanting to find or develop their creativity in painting”.

The workshop is on Sunday, November 6 and runs from 2 to 5pm. More details at www.hands-across-the-world.org/get-involved/events/.
