One lucky WA Lotto player is set for life after big win

ONE lucky Perth Lotto player is waking up to the news they will receive $20,000 a month for the next 20 years after winning first prize in the Set For Life draw last night.

The winning ticket was purchased from Oxford News in Leederville.

The windfall marks Western Australia’s first Set For Life winner for 2017 and the State’s fifth winner since the game was launched.

Oxford News owner Bin Qi said the celebrations had already began.

“$20,000 per month across 20 years is something else,” Mr Qi said.

“Customers have been lining up outside of our store since early this morning all hoping they hold the winning ticket,” he added.

Mr Qi said the win was the talk of Leederville.

“I was lining up getting my morning coffee and everyone was talking about it,” he said.

“I wanted to pop the champagne then and there but my business partner is making me hold off until at least after lunch.”
