AFTER two months of serving breakfast and lunch, Open by Duotone is now open nights for dinners, desserts and drinks.
The William Square venue was opened in June by Korea-born David Yeo.
He said he saw an opportunity to blur the lines between day and night in the CBD’s hospitality industry.
“Sharing food and space is the foundation of community, and it’s what we’re all about at Open,” he said.
“There aren’t many places in the city that you can go for coffee and dessert at 4pm, or dinner at 10pm.
“Open is not just about the usual breakfast, lunch, dinner service; we’re for the in-between times too.”
Chef Alex Joe offers the ultimate east-meets-west menu, a nod to his French and Modern Asian training (Bistro des Artistes, Tetsuya’s, Fuyu) and his own mixed heritage (Korea born, New Zealand raised).
There are Loaded Kimchi Brisket Fries, Karaage Fried Chicken, Double Glazed Pork Ribs and Omurice, a Japanese-style fried rice dish with demiglace and omlette.
