A spokesperson from the WA Planning Commission said the late-notice deferral on the proposed development at the old bottleyard site would give the council more time to consider the proposal.
‘They will be meeting in mid-September to consider it,’ the spokesperson said.
‘So the DAP committee could meet again in late September or October.’
Andrew de Hass from the developer, Handle Property Group, said the meeting was deferred because of negative media reports on the proposal.
City of Vincent chief executive Len Kosova confirmed that the DAP had deferred the application pending advice on the proposal from the Heritage Council.
‘A revised date has not yet been set for when the proposal will be referred back to the DAP,’ Mr Kosova said.
