SAY goodbye to the sunshine and grab your umbrellas this weekend, because winter is coming.
After a good run of autumn weather, it appears Perth is set to get it’s first dose of heavy rain over the weekend.
Possible showers are forecast for Friday, while Saturday has a 60% chance of potentially up to 3 mm of rainfall predicted by the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM), plus the chance of a thunderstorm.
However, Sunday looms as Perth’s first real taste of winter, with the BOM predicting a high chance of showers or a thunderstorm in the morning.
They are currently predicting a 90% chance of rain and expect Perth to be hit with anywhere between 5 and 15mm of rainfall.
While there is a chance of rain on Monday, it currently looks as if the wet weather will ease off next week.
