FOR those that did not get their beer fix during October, November offers a second chance with the Perth Craft Beer Fest.

Bar Pop is bringing the Perth Craft Beer Fest back the Urban Orchard this November for the second time, with more than 40 breweries and restaurants converging to offer more than 150 beers and ciders.

Director Chris Bausor said the 6000 attendees expected his year would have a chance to taste popular brews and others that are rare.

“(The festival) showcases the best beers on the market and not on the market, there are a lot of special brews that come in just for the festival,” he said.

“There is a pressure for breweries to be increasingly experimental with customer product knowledge.

“The quest for the latest and greatest, most flavourful beer is always competition between the brewers.”

Mr Bausor said one particular brew to look out for was a collaboration between a South Australian brewery and a Barossa Valley winery.

“It’s a barrel aged beer, which a lot of breweries are doing at the moment, so essentially the beer takes on a lot of the characteristics of the particular barrel that’s used,” he said.

“It is not produced specifically for the festival but it is not available everywhere.”

He said almost all the top 20 of Gabs Hottest 100 Beers of 2016 would be available at the festival, as well as entertainment.
