Julian WrightEastern Reporter

PERTH MLA John Carey’s good versus evil-themed Halloween party raised more than $10,000 for his 2021 election campaign.

About 250 turned up in creepy costumes for the second annual event in West Perth with the venue transformed into heaven and hell.

Mr Carey held a Halloween-themed party last year ahead of this year’s State Election to help raise money for his first campaign.

“I am blown away by the incredible lengths people went to for their costumes,” Mr Carey said.

“We had a team that for months helped create things for the party such as heavenly lit clouds for the heaven side.”

The next State Election will be held on March 13, 2021.
