THE first artist impressions of a proposed $300 million development between Yagan Square and RAC Arena have been released.

Construction on a 30 storey apartment tower and the 263 room, 4.5 star Dorsett Hotel is set to begin in 2019.

The Perth Hub project comes from Far East Consortium, with the group named two years ago as the developer of the hotel and apartments.

“The time has been used to carefully craft a pair of buildings that would set the standard in Perth Hub,” WA state manager Dan Sweet said.

PRDnationwide will commence apartment sales off the plan on October 31, with the Cottee Parker Architects-designed tower set to be one of Perth’s tallest apartment buildings.

Director Angus Murray said there was a variety of activity now in walking distance at the west end of the city.
